Why do people give too much importance to money?
My life goes on in a certain way that isn’t very good at the moment, but in the future it will change and all problems will be solved. So, I’m not actually worried about my life, I just want to understand why we are suffering from these things. Is this really valuable in our life or not, I don’t know but, I have to find out what’s going on inside of this thought process. I lost my mobile phone yesterday, which I bought. It cost 7500 taka. This is a huge amount of money in terms of my income source. I made only 10 thousand taka in a month. After all that, I have left only 4500 taka.
If I want to buy a phone with my salary it would take 1.5 month. So, this is actually so big for me, If I consider it a value. Money was just an alternative of some money, so it is valuable if I think about this world view. Where to start this pain to my heart. Why do people value money so much! Sometimes more than life. I saw a lot of people who kill people just because of money.
This is a very fundamental problem of our life. Why do we see money more important than life? I got some answers about it. We basically see in this world money saves people's lives, we get food when we get money and everything we need, it is possible for money. But, they just see money as money, but behind the money what makes this powerful they never question! Money is nothing, just a paper of belief. So, this belief makes money powerful. Who is the powerful believer? Answer is no one in particular, we are together. We make money powerful enough that can take life now.
We solve a very good problem, but it makes another problem. Solution is another problem itself. I have some concept about money, I know most of the people don’t want to know about this, but some people want to. People have different choices, that’s the only reason a lot of things together are happening in this universe. I don’t actually have a proper solution to this problem. It’s very difficult to understand what happened all behind it and why people are restless for it!
Humayun Ahmed has a story about this topic. He read a series of books about human behavior. Name of this series is “Himu”. I love the way he writes this, when I realise we have no meaning in this universe, at this time I remember about this book. The character was philosophical but he has no goal with his life, he wants to lead life with nature. It’s also a meaning in itself, but people basically mean by this for not a meaning and I also use this as not a meaning. So, we judge people by their income and what they do in their personal life, but Himo is a homeless person who has no worries about family or other parts of the world. He walked on the road without any sandals day after day, feeling the soil with his foot. See, moon at night and feel the water by the river.
We basically see it as a meaningless thing, but what is the meaning we don’t know. Meaning is created by us. If there is no computer I won’t write this fucking meaning about this life is here at computer. So, meaning is interrelated with our surrounding world, with our culture, society and family. Is it really creating any value in life with unnecessary meaning and believing it in heart. Everyone can lead their life how they want, but there is a limitation. He can’t hurt anybody. He has to be careful about it, if anyone is hurt by him then we have the same chance to get punished by another person. Because, nobody is safe in this universe. Newton law is for everyone, forces has anti force.
